I got to review The Gift Refinery for the first time last season. I was beyond impressed with the Fall box and knew that it was going to be a new favorite. Everything about The Gift Refinery is absolutely gorgeous. From the name, to the packaging, to the curation and everything in between. And as far as first impressions go, it can’t be beat.

When you sign up for The Gift Refinery subscription you have three options to choose from, a quarterly subscription, an annual subscription or a one-time purchase.

PRODUCT O1 // NORDIC DECOR BEADS from @olivebranchstudio!

Located in Sarnia, Ontario, The founder, Liv, says the Olive Branch was a happy accident that started in August of 2017.

“When I made my first macrame wall hanging after seeing a photo on instagram. I ordered some rope online and decided to give it a go because I loved the art and already knew many of the knots from making bracelets as a kid. I had posted my finished product on my instagram story for fun and next thing I knew it was sold, and the rest was history.”

Oh my goodness! What a great way to start things off! I have been wanting a set of these beads for the longest time but it’s one of those products that I had no clue where to shop for. These are such a beautiful product and a fun decor piece. I already have a spot picked out for them.

PRODUCT 02 // DAY OIL from @evredaskincare!

I use face oil every morning and every evening and I am coming to the end of my current bottle so this one arrived at the perfect time. It is made with some of my favourites oils – Apricot Kernel, Argan, Camellia Seed, Evening Primrose, Grapeseed, Jojoba, Rosehip, Sea Buckthorn, Squalane.

I especially love apricot, primrose, grapeseed and jojoba. I have used an oil in the past containing these ingredients and my skin LOVED it. I have high hopes for this oil and am very tempted to order the night oil to go along with it.

PRODUCT 03 // DETOXIFYING BATH BAR from @bareskinbar!

These detoxifying effervescent bath bars feature a high concentration of sea salt and coconut oil – natural ingredients known for drawing toxins out of your body! Gentle kaolin clay purifies and softens skin, while peppermint and lemon essential oils awaken the senses. Perfect for all skin types!

This bath bar smells divine! I am a sucker for peppermint when it comes to any sort of skincare product. I’m in the process of putting together a bath cart and this is the perfect item for it!

PRODUCT 04 // VEGAN SISAL BODY BRUSH from @mellowbathandbody!

Okay – seriously, babes – HAVE YOU *TRIED* A DRY BRUSH?! Showers will never, ever be the same. This natural vegan sisal fiber bristle dry body brush is made from agave fibers with extra firm bristles, exfoliating and removing dead skin cells to leave your skin soft and radiant. Dry brushing stimulates the lymphatic system, encouraging detoxification of the body while increasing circulation.

I am yet to jump on the dry brush trend but I feel like I really need to give it a try. I hear such great things about it, and…….I feel like it would be a great “pamper day” ritual for me. Being a new Mom I have discovered the importance of taking care of myself, pampering myself, and setting aside time for spa sessions.

And there we go……I just talked myself into it:)

PRODUCT 05 // THE DIAMOND TOWEL from @pokolokoltd!

We are obsessed with this versatile textile! It’s decorative, functional, and cute-as-heck. Perfect used as a bath towel, beach blanket, scarf, or throw, it’s made with 100% natural materials including Turkish Cotton, making it strong and durable.

I LOVE Turkish towels and always will. I love the texture, the pattern, the calming colors and the versatility. I have a comfy reading chair picked out for this one. It will look beautiful draped over the back.

PRODUCT 06 // THE EDEN HOOP EARRINGS by @becdesignbanff

Created from clay and brass, bringing together unique texture (and impeccable style!) to a product that is Canadian made and holiday-party ready.

Lately I have been on a bit of a jewelry kick so I LOVE receiving it in my subscription boxes. It’s such a great way to pull an outfit together and make you feel “dressed up”. Sometimes all I have to do is throw on a cute pair of earrings and a pretty necklace and I instantly feel SO much better. These ones are absolutely beautiful with the circle pendant (probably has a different name) and gold detail. The colors are neutral giving you the ability to wear them with a number of outfits.

PRODUCT 07 //  THE MINDFUL WATCH from @bergandbetts!

We’ve been so excited to share this product with you – made from leather off-cuts, these watches repurpose textile waste into a luxury accessory. The Mindful Watch features a mirrored gold stainless steel case, gold markers, and a sustainable leather band.

Lastly we have this gorgeous watch and I am blown away, not only by the value but also the design. It’s chic, classic and timeless. This is a piece I will wear for years to come. And I am SO happy they sent me black. Subscribers could have also received ivory.

The Gift Refinery Review Winter 2020 – Final Thoughts

The Winter the Gift Refinery is beyond impressive. I fell in love with it the moment I opened the box and was greeted with such a visually pleasing first impression. I love that the box was color coordinated, such a small detail but one that I very much appreciate. I also love the value and the beautiful curation. The watch alone makes the box worth the cost, not to mention the gorgeous decor pieces, the quality skincare and the beautiful bath items for my new bath cart. If I were to make a subscription box wishlist, The Gift Refinery would definitely be on it.
